Castor Oil Packs at Home!

The Castor Bean is a very versatile and useful plant. The oil has been used through the centuries as an aid in healing and elimination. The properties can be just as useful topically as internally, in fact ancient Greeks thought the oil should only be used externally.

You can use castor oil for many common ailments such as constipation, sprains, and achy or arthritic joints, congested or tense tissue and muscles.

Instructions:

Generously rub the oil onto the effected area.

Place a wool or cotton flannel piece of fabric over the area and make sure the fabric is at least 2 layers, 4 is better.  (It's best to have naturally colored fabric that does not contain any dyes, if possible)

Put a piece of plastic over the flannel, overlapping it.

Then wrap the whole area in a warming pad; use hot towels, heating pad, or rice packs, anything that keeps the heat in.

Leave this on for 30 to 60 minutes.
